VIllage Plan team wins £1500 for South Stoke

The Village plan group team have secured £1500 in grant funding from the ORCC.

Anton Nath ORCC Community Development Worker today confirmed that the award, saying "Congratulations. I am please to say that the grant panel have approved your application."

This takes the total funding to £1650, as South Stoke Parish Council have generously funded £150.

We would like to thank Anton for his support so far, and our Parish Council for their perserverence. We wil be discussing our proposed programme of events at the Village Meeting 3pm Saturday 28th November, at the Village Hall.

With 250 repsonses - nearly 50% of the people who live and work in South stoke have told us what they want the Village Plan to focus on.

We are analysing the responses - and will publish some initial findings in the newsletter.

Overwhelming numbers said they loved the peace and quiet, the countryside and the loved the friendly neighbours - so we are not such a bad old lot !

200 People in South Stoke are in - ARE YOU !

Throughout September we have been Asking the villagers what they like and what they wnat in the future.

We have been overwhelmed by the repsonse. Villagers have been delighted to be included in the plans and eager to share their views with us.

The Plan group are on course to receive over 200 completed forms.

Top of the Polsters is Nicky Kennedy with 50 responses on her own.

We are hoping to collect all the forms in the next week. If you have not received a form and you want the village to listen - email plan@southstoke.org.uk

The plan is part of the village.
